Stages may not be shot in the order they are presented on this webpage.

Stage 1

"Cowboy Fantasy"
You're five years old and your folks just bought one of those new fangled TV picture show thingies. The wonderful thing about it is you can now watch all your favorite cowboy heros such as Gene Autry, Roy Rogers and Hopalong Cassidy perform their amazing skills of marksmanship. You dream of emulating your heros and then one night your mother reads you the story of the Princess and the Frog. In the story the Princess kisses a frog and he turns into a handsome Prince.

Why won't that work for you. If kissing a frog will turn him into a prince maybe shooting a frog will turn you into a cowboy hero. You grab your sling shot and head out to the pond looking for a frog. There's a big one sitting on a lilly pad, you take careful aim and let that marble fly and
"Poof!"

Your turned into your favorite TV cowboy and dropped into the middle of a gun fight.

You grab your guns and go at it. By the way, this is a fantasy so you will never miss.

Targets:
1 swinging rifle target
4 pistol targets
4 shotgun targets
1 frog target

Firearms:
Rifle loaded with ten rounds, hammer on empty chamber staged in gun rack.
Handguns each loaded with five rounds hammers down on empty chamber holstered.
Shotgun with action open and empty staged on gun rack with 4+ rounds on your person.
Sling shot staged on table with bag of marbles.

Before you shoot you will be dealt five cards from a deck containing four aces, four deuces, four threes and four fours. You will shoot both pistols at the targets in the order the cards were dealt.

The shooter who is dealt the best poker hand will win a prize. (To be determined)

To start the timer say your line "Here Froggy Froggy!"

Pick up the sling shot and shoot the frog. You must hit the frog before you can proceed to the rest of the stage.

Draw your first pistol and shoot the pistol targets in the order of the hand you were dealt. Holster the first pistol and shoot the second in the same order.

Holster your second pistol and grab your rifle. Shoot the knock-down target and then shoot the swinging target until your rifle is empty.

Place your rifle in the gun rack and using your shotgun shoot the four knock down shotgun targets in any order. Targets must go down.

Stage 2

"HOLD UP OF THE EL PASO STAGE"

It is February 23, 1891. You are on the stage with five other passengers. The driver tells you that highwaymen would likely rob the stage that night. He states that the point most likely to be selected would be a rough spot in the road, just about five miles " away and darkness had fully descended." You volunteer to get out of the stage about a mile for the suspected holdup spot. You tell the others that you will walk behind the stage and if the highwaymen approach you will have them in your sights. The others claim that this is just a scheme to save your own skin, not to mention your dollars. You assure them that you "firmly expect to kill a robber and save the stage".

Your get out as the stage starts up a long hill. At the top and before the occupants of the stage knew what was happening a masked man appeared at each door, revolvers in hand, a third at the front of the horses with a shotgun and two more behind the stage. The occupants of the stage are completely taken by surprise and are about to give up their guns and valuables. When they hear a Pop! Pop! Pop! from your guns.

Starting position:

Shotgun at Cowboy port arms. At the buzzer load the shotgun and shoot the two highwaymen (knock down shotgun targets) in any order (targets must go down) place the shotgun open and empty in the gun rack. Next, draw your first pistol and dump 5 rounds into the highwayman on the left. Holster and draw your second pistol and dump 5 rounds into the highwayman on the right. Do not kill the passengers standing behind the highwaymen. Five second penalty for killing a passenger. Holster and reach for your rifle and shoot a warning shot at the third highwayman (the release target for the rolling target) Instead of giving up he makes a run for it. (shoot the rolling target and drop the last highwayman in the box - you must make the target drop)

Any rounds left in your rifle are to be used on the small spinner targets. 5 second bonus for each hit.

Need:

10 pistol
5 rifle
2 shotgun

Stage 3

"BUFFALO BILL'S CHALLENGE"
Buffalo Bill and his Wild West Show are in town and Buffalo Bill has heard that your are quite a shot and would like to challenge you to gentleman's Demonstration of Shooting Prowess. You accept and show up at the arena at the appointed time. A large crowd has gathered to whiteness one of the greatest demonstrations of shooting skill the old west has ever see.

You and Bill have shot Silver Dollars out of the air, Billiard balls off various props and dead center shots in playing cards, Bill using his favorite rifle and you favorite your revolvers. Both of you have tied and it's time to move on to the final challenge. To make it more difficult, the last competition will be a three-gun event, involving pistols, rifles and shotguns. Here you must use all three types of firearms in a specific order. Included in this competition is the dreaded Texas Star, that five armed spinning target of trouble.

Time will be important and one of the spectators will be keeping track of the time with his brand new Dollar Ingersal Watch.

The competition begins with the shotgun; standing at Cowboy Port Arms shotgun action open and empty Shoot the popper target on the left and knock it down this will send a small target into the air which you must also hit. Next repeat this feat on the right popper. Place your shotgun in the rack open and empty.

Draw your first pistol, from left to right, put one shot on the first target, three shots on the second target, and one shot on the third target. Holster your first pistol hammer down on a spent shell casing. Draw your second pistol and starting from the right, put two shots on the first target, one shot on the second target and two shots on the third. Holster your second pistol hammer down of a spent shell casing.

Pick up your rifle and Nevada Sweep the three rifle targets left to right. That leaves you just five cartridges for the dreaded Texas Star. Shoot the paddles off the star (They must be knocked off to count) in any order, but be warned the wrong order could cost you bragging rights over Bill Cody.

Need:
10 Rifle
10 Pistol
4 Shotgun

Stage 4

Driftwood's been on the trail of his no account brother Dutch Henry Johnson for years. Town after town he's tracked him, his father had taught him to hunt and now he's a huntin' for a skunk.

Stage 5

Gophers!

Note change to how this stage is scored

Youve planted a nice garden out where the old corral was located and the turnips, carrots and beans are looking good. You head out to hoe some weeds and whoa and behold the garden has been invaded by whole passel of gophers! Since you always go heeled you commence to wipe out gophers.

Under no circumstances do you want to shoot your prize winning punkin. Its a sure winner at the county fair and first prize is $20.00. Twenty second penalty for any HIT on the pumpkin. (only one penalty per stage) Avoid your wifes tomatoes,. Ten second penalty for any tomatoes knocked off the plant. Finally, there is the gourd your raising to make a bird house. Ten point penalty for hitting over the gourd.

Start holding the hoe in both hands. Say your line Eat lead you varmints! At the buzzer place the hoe in the gun rack and using the firearms in any order you wish you commence to shooting gophers. Once you begin shooting a firearm you must continue shooting it until all its rounds are fired.

A gopher knocked down in any way is a kill. Hits on gophers that do not knock them down are not kills.

If, after all the gophers are dead you have any rounds left shoot at the long range gong. A five second bonus for each hit. All shooting must be done standing from within the rectangle marked on the ground.

Irregardless of what class you are competing in you may shoot the handgun using two hands.

SCORING: This stage will not be timed! You will start with a score of 30 seconds. There are 20 gophers worth five seconds each. If you kill a gopher with each shot and hit the bonus six times with NO hits on any vegetables you will end up with a score of zero.
