Match Stages June 18, 2011 Stage 1 "Bad Hair Day" Ammo Count: Rifle - 10 rounds Pistol - 10 rounds Shotgun - 2+ rounds Stage Set: Rifle - Double Swinger Handgun - KD for Swinger + 9 KD's. Shotgun - 2 resetting targets Shotgun stages at position 2. You walk into the Dirty Shame Saloon and order gin with a human hair in it. When it arrives there's no hair! You politely point this out to the bartender but he takes offense and tells you to "Eat Sand"! These are fightin' words and the shooting begins with you shooting the guns out of everyone's hands. Starting at the shooting position one with your rifle at port arms start the timer by saying your line: "There's no human hair in my gin!" The posse replies "Eat Sand!" At the Buzzer shoot the Double Swinger targets until you have achieved a complete revolution with each target. Place any remaining rounds on the dump target with a 5 second bonus for each hit. No penalty for misses on the double swingers. Five second penalty for misses on the dump target. Move with your rifle to position two, stage the rifle and with your handguns shoot the KD target to release the swinger then shoot the 9 KD targets. No penalty for hitting the swinging gong. With your shotgun shoot the two shotgun targets left, right. ![]() Stage 2 "Now You've Gone n' Riled Me Up" Rifle - 10 Pistol - 10 rounds Shotgun - 4 rounds Stage Set: Rifle staged at position 1. Shotgun at position 2. Targets: Rifle - Polish Plate Rack Handguns - Texas Star and dump target. Shotgun - 4 resetting SG targets. Story: After you've shot the guns out of everybody's hands you return to the bar where the quaking bartender has placed a human hair in your gin. Your sidekick comes out from hiding behind the bar and drinks the gin and spits out the hair. (You don't drink alcoholic beverages, only buy them.) Then Black Bert makes a lewd remark to the bar's "hostess", Miss Prairie Daisy. You demand an apology and when Black Bert refuses the next gunfight is on." Start: rifle staged at position 1, shotgun at position 2. To start the timer, exclaim "Apologize to Miss Prairie Daisy!" Procedure: With your rifle shoot the ten targets off the PPR. Ten second bonus if you knock all ten targets off without dumping the end weights. Stage the rifle and move to position 2. Handgun: Shoot the targets off the Texas Star, first shoot off the 3 red targets, then the two back targets. When all the targets are knocked off place any remaining rounds on the dump target. No penalty for misses on the Texas Star, 5 second penalty for any misses on the dump target and 5 second bonus for any hits. Only targets left on the Texas Star will count as misses. Move to Shotgun position and stage rifle. With shotgun shoot the four shotgun targets in any order. ![]() Stage 3 "Pirates of the Swan River " (Stage 5 at Cody's Wild West Shootout 2007) Rifle - 10 rounds Pistol - 10 rounds Shotgun - 6+ rounds Stage Set: Rifle/Pistol - 4 rectangles or circles Shotgun -3 resetting shotgun targets Story: Whilst makin' evenin' rounds, a drunken river pirate sends a load of buckshot your way then ducks into the local saloon. Your're the only deputy around, so ya goota go get 'im, but hafta get through some other drunken pirates first�.so much for a peaceful night. Start: Start standing at position 1 with your rifle at cowboy port arms. Pistols holstered and shotgun at position 1. When ready exclaim " Arrrrrh, not the pirates again" At the Beep: Shoot the targets with a Nevada Sweep starting on the right. Stage the rifle and grab your shotgun and move to position 2. Shoot the three shotgun targets SG1- SG3 twice in any order, but no double taps. Place shotgun on the table and draw your pistol(s). Shoot the 4 (now) pistol targets P1-P4 in a progressive sweep starting on the right (1 on 1, 2 on 2, 3 on 3, 4 on 4) ![]() "Going to Tucumcari" (from the movie "For A Few Dollars More") Rifle - 9 rounds Pistol - 10 rounds Shotgun - 2+ rounds Stage Set: Rifle - 3 targets Pistol - 3 targets Shotgun - 2 shotgun targets. Story: Col. Douglas Mortimer has arrived in Tucumcari, NM looking to collect the $1000 reward for bringing in Guy Callaway. After a quiet discussion with the hotel owner and bar keep, Col. Mortimer tries to surprise Callaway who's upstairs in the company of a "sporting lady". Guy jumps out of the window and gets to his horse, Col Mortimer excuses himself, runs downstairs and from his stash of arms on the side of his horse, pulls out his Winchester and un-horses' the fleeing bandit. A gunfight ensues and Col. Mortimer is a $1000 richer. Start: Shotgun and rifle staged in the shooting rack. Six guns are loaded with 5 rounds; hammer down on the empty cylinder. Procedure: To start the timer say "Pardon Me Ma'am". Pick up you rifle and engage the 3 rifle targets R1-R3 each with a triple tap from either left or right. With your shotgun engage the two pepper poppers once each from either left or right side. Place the shotgun in the rack. With your 1st pistol engage the three pistol targets P1-P3 with a Nevada sweep from either the left or right. Holster and with your second pistol repeat the Nevada sweep in the same direction as the first. ![]() Stage 5 "Sometimes You Have to Roll with What's Thrown at Ya" Rifle - 10 rounds Pistol - 10 rounds Shotgun - 4+ rounds Story: It's the final shoot-out with "Big Ears" Ed Bywater the boys from Big Rump Kate's saloon over them Chinese gals. Heck's been shot and it's Fred and Tom from the cover of the barn to shoot it out with them killers. Those SOBs are not going to harm them girls. Rifle and shotgun staged at position one. To start timer: To start exclaim, "Take that". Starting at position one with your rifle shoot the three targets with three left to right sweeps plus one on the middle target. Stage your rifle, grab your shotgun and move to position two. Shoot the four shotgun targets left to right, they must go down. Stage your shotgun there and move to position three. With your first handgun shoot the three targets P1, P2, P2, P2, P3. With the second handgun shoot the three targets P1, P1,P2, P3, P3. Note: As soon as the shooter stages his rifle and moves forward the brass picker can begin picking up brass. As soon as the shooter is finished the shotgun targets and moves forward the shotgun targets can be reset. ![]() Home |
